Meet Our Authors

The women of Pneuma Press form a sisterhood of faith, united by a shared calling to make Christ known through the written word. Each one writes from a place of devotion, drawing from real life, real faith, and the transforming power of Scripture. Together, they reflect the beauty of the Body—many voices, one Spirit, all pointing to the same hope. Through their words, readers are invited to slow down, rest in truth, and encounter God in the quiet margins of life.

Cathryn Johnson Judkins

Cathryn Judkins is an American author and teacher of Christian studies whose life and writing reflect a deep, lived faith. Though she grew up in the church and accepted Christ as a young child, it was in the early 2000s that she experienced a personal encounter with God that reshaped her purpose and calling.

Cathryn writes to encourage and empower women walking through seasons of brokenness, helping them rediscover strength and identity in Christ. Her books flow from her own journey of healing and spiritual growth, offering both biblical insight and heartfelt honesty.

She and her husband make their home just outside Carson City, Nevada, where she leads a local MomCo group—mentoring and supporting young mothers as they navigate the joys and challenges of raising children. Her two daughters and two granddaughters live in California, and she treasures her role as both mother and grandmother.

Cathryn’s current projects include Worship-Filled Prayer, a study of joyful communion with God through prayer, and Living in the Broken, which reveals how God transforms fractured stories into beautiful testimonies of grace. Her previous works include The Journey of a Living Relationship, Colossians: Confronting Christ, Hillside Wisdom: Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, Becoming One: One with God, One with Your Husband, and The Woman in the Mirror. Each book reflects her heartbeat for women to encounter the living God—and to find that even in the breaking, He is making something beautiful.
